Frequently asked questions:
Does my pet need to be vaccinated?
Please note, we will need to see your pet’s vaccination card on check in. All pets must be fully covered with their annual vaccinations. Please note, although the kennel cough vaccine is not mandatory, we highly recommend all dogs are covered with this vaccination too. If your dog has received or will be receiving the Kennel Cough vaccine, this must be at least 3 weeks prior to arrival at kennels. As the Kennel Cough vaccine is a live vaccine, therefore dogs receiving this vaccine should be kept separate from other dogs for the three weeks after vaccination.
What do I need to bring?
Bedding, toys, bowls, towels - we have everything here at the kennels and cattery, but please feel free to bring along anything you think will make your pet’s stay more comfortable (it is quite nice for them to have something that smells of home for their stay, so please feel free to bring along a blanket/s and/or favourite toy).
Do I need to bring my pet’s food?
We are proud to offer our partner business’ Kirkton Range Turkey & Rice dog kibble included within the cost of dog boarding and Kirkton Range Chicken cat kibble within the cost of cat boarding, however if you would rather keep your pet on their own feed, this is not a problem at all, you would just need to bring along enough for the stay and let us know the specifics of their routine.
Please see the Kirkton Range website for further details on the feed included within the cost of boarding.
What do you charge?
Please see the prices page of our website for full pricing as well as our cancellation policies and terms & conditions.
What times can I drop off and collect?
Drop off and collection is any time within our opening hours of 08:00 to 10:00 and 16:00 to 18:00. Please note, as we are based on a private farm, we have to be strict with our opening hours, we therefore ask customers to please not turn up early waiting for us to open or arrive after 6pm when we close.
Will my dog be walked in a group or alone?
We provide individual, group, on lead or off lead walks – which ever you and your dog are most comfortable with. All dogs new to the kennels are always initially walked on a one to one basis with an 8m flexi lead to access their recall and get an idea of which dog/s they will go well with for their future walks. Walking placement is very much done on a step by step basis. All day care dogs are walked twice daily, and our boarding dogs are walked four times daily.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions or if you would like to check any availability.
